History
Don't let the cows out
Founded in 1972 by Bob “Stretch” and Lorene “Ennie” Stredwick in Bozeman, MT, Custom II started out fabricating bear-proof garbage lids, gates, and cattle guards for local ranches around the state.
By the 1980s, the two-car garage where the company began grew too small and was replaced with a 2,800 sq. ft. facility. In 2003, the company outgrew its building again and was rebuilt to 12,000 sq. ft. In 2015, an additional shop in Belgrade, MT was purchased to expand our capabilities, and in 2026, the original shop was moved to our latest location in Belgrade next to our existing plate processing facility.
Over the last 50+ years, Custom II has stayed true to its mission: to provide personal, professional welding and steel fabrication services, on time and on budget. We remain family owned and operated, with son Tanner serving as Vice President at the helm.
